Born and raised in Denver, Colorado, Chef Eric David developed a passion for hospitality, food, and creating memorable guest experiences at an early age. After earning his bachelor's degree from Loyola University Chicago, he pursued his culinary education at Kendall College, where he refined the foundation of his professional cooking career.
Chef Eric spent 10 years at The Peninsula Chicago, where he honed his culinary expertise in a variety of leadership roles, including Banquet Chef and Chef de Cuisine of the acclaimed French bistro, Pierrot Gourmet. These experiences strengthened his passion for fine dining, elevated banquet execution, and exceptional guest service.
In 2016, Eric joined Guckenheimer as a Regional Support Chef before becoming Executive Chef at Takeda in Deerfield, Illinois, in 2017. During his tenure, he and his talented team achieved numerous accomplishments, including helping establish Guckenheimer's Fit Test Kitchen program, earning second place in the company's national cooking competition, and piloting several innovative employee training initiatives designed to elevate culinary excellence across the organization.
In 2026, Eric embraced the opportunity to join Restaurant Associates at JPMorganChase Chicago, a role that perfectly aligns with his passion for upscale dining, sophisticated catering and banquet experiences, and authentic Midwestern hospitality. He is excited to create outstanding culinary experiences and deliver the highest level of service for every guest.
Fun Fact: Eric once drove a Zamboni and remains a devoted fan of the Denver Broncos and Colorado Avalanche. When he's not in the kitchen, he enjoys ice skating and playing golf with his wife and daughters.
